MLB Lockout 2027 is a browser-based retro pixel-art visual novel and negotiation strategy game. The player takes on the role of Commissioner of Baseball at the start of a fictional owner-imposed lockout. Over the course of the game, the player must negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement — managing relationships with the players’ union, team owners, and the general public while navigating crises, media pressure, and political interference.
The game is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese. It runs on any modern browser, desktop or mobile, with no download or login required.
MLB Lockout Simulator 2027 was originally released as MLB Strike Simulator 2027. We renamed it to better reflect that the fictional 2027 work stoppage is an owner-imposed lockout, not a players' strike — a strike is when workers withhold their labor, while a lockout is when owners stop workers from working to pressure them into a deal.
The MLB Salary Cap/Floor Tool is a standalone interactive simulator that lets fans design their own baseball CBA proposal by setting a salary floor, luxury tax threshold, and hard salary cap, then seeing how players, owners, and the public might react.
